A happy update from Lisa: I adopted Skittles a year ago from the Manhattan ACC. She is 5 years old. She was found near the airport. Someone had knocked her teeth out, cut her throat and put out her eye. She had a long road to recovery but she is now completely healed and the love of our lives. You would never know she is special needs/blind. She gets around just fine and hasn’t let what happened to her affect her in any way. She loves to run, jump and play. Her best friends are a St. Bernard named Bruiser and a Chihuahua named Brandy. I’m so thankful that I was able to save her and give her a happy home.
