"New Beginnings" - Stories About Saved NYC Shelter AnimalsPatches, formerly named Cheeseburger (A1079249) is a euth list survivor. She was adopted by Laine Pace who recently sent us this note about this wonderful cat!
“I wish all our little kitties could find a loving home. I thought to distract you a minute from the heartbreaking photos you are looking at today, you would enjoy an update on Cheeseburger, now known as Patches. I rescued her in July with the help of Feline Rescue (thank you Patricia & your driver!) who delivered her to me. She had a little kennel cough & had given up her 4 babies recently when I got her. We went right to the vet where everyone fell IN LOVE with her! She came through her little hysterectomy purr-fectly & hit the ground running. What a ball of energy! She plays like a 1 yr old and can entertain herself for hours on end with tons of toys & picking on her older brother and sister. She’s a pro at counter-surfing when Mom isn’t looking. She sleeps on my head, my chest, in my lap, under the covers, wherever & however she can as long as she is touching me. It’s an absolutely must that she smell my mouth when I am eating. She has learned how to give me little kiss licks on the lips when she hears the word “kiss” – she taught herself that! She is my silly, goofy girl & I just adore her! This is a major foster-fail on an epic scale lol. God bless you all for caring about our fur companions!” Laine
