Matty is a senior boy who was adopted last year by Sheila Szoke who sent this photo and update to us:
Sheila Szoke This is Matty! He was fostered and adopted from NYCACC. Matty, a blind 12 year old, was refusing to eat and starving himself! Rescued in the nick of time (September 2016), Matty came with the normal URI, no appetite and terribly painful teeth! Matty’s URI was treated and cured, his appetite partially came back. At that point we adopted him and we got those nasty teeth extracted! Since then this blind gentleman knows the ins and outs of every nook and cranny of our home and has settled in with his family quite nicely!! He is loved beyond words. My suggestion? Adopt a senior! Adopt special needs! Just adopt! The ones that are leaving us at the hands of the shelters need you ~ before it’s too late!!!
A big thank you to Sheila for giving this sweet boy a home and for the wonderful update! Happy tails Matty! Here is Matty’s original link so you can see what a difference love and a home can do for a cat!
