CHAD
"New Beginnings" - Stories About Saved NYC Shelter AnimalsFrom our friends at Magnificat Rescue:
Some happy news on this dismal, rainy Sunday: Chad got adopted today!
In just four weeks, our boy Chad has been on a remarkable journey: hit by a car and injured, taken to the New York City ACC, placed on the euthanasia list because of his injuries, pulled by Magnificat Cat Rescue, transported to Dr. Jessica Palmeri in Middletown for care, taken to Peggy Cronk Simurra’s house for fostering, nursed back to health, neutered, and finally, chauffeured to his new home with Rebecca and her family today.
Chad now has a cat friend, a sweet old bulldog, and a little girl of his very own. That’s the part he seems to like best.
Many, many thanks to the Mayor’s Alliance for transporting him; to Kathleen Jack, for her generous support; to our own Jessica Palmeri, who for one brief moment considered keeping Chad herself; to Maria Carlino, who instantly thought of her friend Rebecca as the perfect adopter; to the wonderful Peggy Cronk Simurra for fostering; and to Rebecca and her family.
“My troubles are all over, and I am at home.”
