Jayden
"New Beginnings" - Stories About Saved NYC Shelter Animals
Due to your FB site and postings…I asked a New Hope partner to pull Jayden for me (March 2014). He’s over 10 years old, was an owner surrender, has a 5/6 heart murmur, had 15 rotted teeth pulled, and used to mark where he wanted. He’s also hard of hearing and with some sight impairment.
In seeing the picture of this beautiful soul and acting upon my whim (drove to NYC from west of Albany), I know I was fortunate. I found my traveling partner (flies under the seat, no sedation needed), errand buddy (1st one to the car), and pal.
So long as medical complications don’t zap his ability to breathe or his ability to enjoy life, we’re a team. He eats well (even crunchy treats if he wants them), gets carried when he’s too tired, and gets to sniff a lot of beautiful scenery.
He’s able to jump high enough to get on the bed and some furniture, but knows he’s not big enough or skilled enough to go down some sets of stairs or get off some furniture.
This is JJ trying to stay cool on the tile floor.
He is a gift (from God) in my opinion.
