RORY & QUINN
Rory and Quinn were two housemates that were sadly brought into the shelter system after their own passing.
Rory a sweet older kitty ended up on the kill list. Quinn was still not in immediate danger but was noted as “aggressive” on his behavior evaluation. Thankfully the kind person who wanted to save Rory noticed she had a housemate and wanted to save him to. These two housemates were pulled by All Sentient Beings and reunited. Rory and Quinn gave each other a nose bump when they saw one another.
Here’s what their adopter had to say:
Poor Quinn had been marked as “aggressive” and was transported in some sort of tiny hard plastic box with 3 small airholes. I transferred him to one of my carriers without so much as a hiss or a growl. He only growled when the vet actually examined him, and what cat enjoys that, having their body held down and poked and manipulated? He’s not aggressive at all, just weary and quiet. Has slight URI symptoms.
Rory is in better state than I thought she would be in, she’s incredibly sweet, purred and rubbed for all touching, even the vet exam. I can’t believe such a creature was due to be killed. She wasn’t dehydrated surprisingly, hadn’t been eating since she cant smell food due to her URI.
They’re all hooked up with meds, things to clear their eye and nose discharge. I can syringe feed Rory til her illness clears up.
They’re all set up in my upstairs bathroom for now until URIs are over, the first peace and quiet they’ve had all day. Finally reunited. In front of my toilet, of all places haha, but still. They did their little nose bump.
