COTTON BALL A1119597
"New Beginnings" - Stories About Saved NYC Shelter AnimalsFrom our friends at Magnificat Rescue and Rehoming:
Meet Ol’ Blue Eyes!
Cotton Ball and his housemates Francis and Nick Nickleby were surrendered to the New York City ACC after their owner died. Yes, it was their owner’s family who surrendered them.
Francis got adopted, but Cotton Ball and Nick Nickleby ended up on the euthanasia list. We were only able to rescue them because Lisa of Dutchie and Renee Senior Cat Rescue offered to foster them for us.
Poor Nick had a bad URI and has only started to perk up in the last couple of days. But Cotton Ball, who is much older, was bouncing around and rolling over for affection from day one.
It’s odd. The ACC put Cotton Ball at 13 years old, making him very senior indeed, because apparently that is how long his late owner had him. But he looks and acts like a much younger cat. If he really is that old, he is the spryest 13-year-old cat we’ve ever seen. And he has sparkling blue eyes, almost like a Siamese. He is a very handsome, appealing cat!
We are not sure yet if he and Nick are a bonded pair. In any event, both are available for adoption through Magnificat Cat Rescue. Interested in adopting Cotton Ball and Nick? Email us at [email protected]
