ARCHIE 31094 & GIRLFRIEND 31095
"New Beginnings" - Stories About Saved NYC Shelter AnimalsSAFE! Sixteen year old sweet seniors, Archie and Girlfriend were surrendered to the center because their owner was sick and wouldn’t be returning home. They used to live with the owner’s daughter but she couldn’t keep them because she is allergic to cats. These precious kitties were pulled by New Hope Rescue Ranch from the at-risk list. Here’s an update:
6/20/18 Update: For old folks, my vet thinks they are in pretty good shape. Archie’s blood work out of the ACC looked good according to my vet. He does have an upper respiratory infection, so he got a shot of convenia. Something is going on with his eyes. It could be the conjunctivitis or it could be an issue with his tear ducts. We will find out what needs to happen to make sure this guy is completely comfortable. Girlfriend had her blood taken yesterday, and we are waiting on the results. Her teeth looked pretty good. She will ultimately need dental but not right now. She too has an upper respiratory infection and got a shot of convenia. They are both together now in the bathroom recovering and settling in. We want to thank all of the people that have reached out to thank us, all of the people that worked to save these too, all of the people that prayed for them, and for all of you that donated towards their care. It fills our hearts to be able to help but we all know that we are never truly working alone. Rescue is a team sport, and we thank all of you for caring so much. – Catherine
