Annie, Dannie and Isabel
"New Beginnings" - Stories About Saved NYC Shelter AnimalsHi,
I foster for Fur Friends in Need, a New Hope Rescue. In December 2014, Ra, a Rat Terrier or JRT mix came in as a stray to the MACC. He was labeled New Hope only because he attacked “the hand”. Everyone in our rescue knows of my love for Rat Terriers and JRTs. So, I was quickly made aware of him. I asked if we could pull him. He is the first foster I got direct from the ACC. And certainly the only dog that was labeled NH only. I was a little nervous. When He was delivered to me, it was clear that he was not an aggressive dog at all, and so loving and appreciative of being out of the ACC. We changed his name to Dannie. We knew from the beginning, he was never leaving our house. He fit in so perfectly. We officially made him ours on June 19, 2015. We are a 3 dog family now, with fosters that come in and out.
FYI, the first ACC pull worked out so well, I pulled another dog, Isabel, from the MACC in Jan. She found her furever home on Long Island in March
Thanks for helping these dogs!!!
